The near extinction of Oliver Hook

Oliver is disappearing. Oliver is supposed to be in Grade 8, but instead he's becoming invisible. He has been living in the hospital while his mom is getting cancer treatment, with nobody seeming to know or care that he’s even there. Even after his mom passes away and he’s sent to live with his estranged father, he feels invisible on the large, secretive estate at first. He quickly realises his dad, a genetic scientist, has developed a technique for bringing extinct species back to life – even an animal that is so rare it was thought to only be a myth. Just when Oliver starts thinking he’s found a home among the extinct animals and eccentric characters, disaster strikes and it’s up to Oliver to protect everything that's become important to him.
